Companion Pass

Are you bringing someone to Halifax with you, for instance your spouse or other family member? With the purchase of a companion pass, your companion is welcome to join you for the following conference meals: Wednesday evening reception; breakfast, lunch, and the special dinner on Thursday; and breakfast on Friday. Your companion is invited to attend the Wednesday night opening session, but the companion pass does not include participation in any other conference sessions, keynotes, or breakouts.

The companion pass can be added to your registration as you fill out the registration form, or at any time by emailing us at events@edvance.ca.

Unfortunately we must be strict to enforce the companion rate policy once onsite, as we are charged "per person" by the venues.

Payment

You will be invoiced after completing the registration form. You will have the chance to select your preferred method of payment from the following options:

  • By cheque - invoice my school = an invoice will be emailed to your school's bookkeeper, if we have this information on file.
  • By cheque - invoice me personally = an invoice will be emailed to you directly. Please mail a cheque for the amount invoiced.
  • By credit card = you will receive a separate email with instructions to pay by credit card. Note: there is a 3.35% processing fee if you choose to pay by credit card.
What is the cancellation policy?

Note:  Cancellation of accommodation bookings must be made directly with The Lord Nelson Hotel and comply with their associated policies.

International Attendees

All international attendees should review the requirements from Immigration and Citizenship Canada related to travelling to Canada. If you are a citizen of a country other than the USA, you might require an electronic travel authorization (eTA) or a Visitor Visa.

If you require a letter of invitation for your Visa application, you may request one via this form.

Prior to considering your request, we will require confirmation of the school, educational, or non-profit organization that you are affiliated with, and how your work is connected to the work of Christian Schools Canada.  This information will be vetted by Board Members of Christian Schools Canada before a letter of invitation to the conference can be issued.

Christian Schools Canada cannot accept any responsibility for Visa applications.
